Our History

Edward Guerra founded Community Carpentry in 1952 and served the community of Long Island, New York for 20 years. In 1973 Edward changed the company name to Budget Carpentry and began to service San Diego exclusively. In 2003, the company incorporated and changed its name to Konstrukt Development, Inc. (KD). Today, with the reins turned over to his sons, John and James, KD continues to exceed the expectations of San Diego homeowners and commercial tenants seeking the very best in service, craftsmanship, and professionalism.
